Safety

FCF at the end of Bergamot indicates that the furocoumarins (namely bergaptene) have been removed by steam distillation and is the preferred bergamot for safe use in massage blends and in perfumes. Pure essential oils are too strong for your skin and may cause irritation. To use on your skin, mix essential oil with a carrier oil before applying.
